Terms of Use

NoodleIndex is a reference catalogue of instant ramen sold in the United States, operated by Myko Soft Inc. It lists ingredients, nutrition and prices, and collects opinions from members. It sells nothing, ships nothing, and is not affiliated with any manufacturer or retailer named on it.

The site is in beta. Features can change or disappear without notice.

It is offered to people in the United States. We do not currently target it at, or tailor it for, any other market.

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is not buried in a longer clause.

• Ingredients and nutrition are transcribed from packaging. Manufacturers change recipes without changing the product name, and our copy can lag behind. Read the actual package.
• Allergies. Never rely on this site to decide whether something is safe for you to eat. The package in your hand is the only authority.
• Prices are what a retailer's listing said when we last read it. They change without notice and can differ at checkout. Not every pack has a tracked price, and some tracked prices are weeks old.
• Heat and taste figures are estimates. Most come from member comparisons rather than laboratory measurement, and the site marks which is which. Treat them as a guide, not a fact.

We publish this information in good faith and correct errors when we find them, but we do not warrant that it is accurate, complete or current.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us at mk@noodleindex.com if you think someone else is using it.

One account per person. Do not create accounts to make your own opinion count more than once.

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a review you give us permission to display it on the site and to use your rating and taste answers in aggregate figures, such as a pack's average rating or its heat score.

Photo attachments are not live in this beta — the control previews an image in your browser and nothing is uploaded. When we enable it, this section will cover photos too.

Do not post:

• content you do not have the right to publish, including other people's photographs
• reviews of packs you have not actually eaten
• anything that attacks a person, or that is unlawful
• advertising, affiliate links, or reviews written on behalf of a brand

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Reviews are opinions of the members who wrote them, not ours.

Taste Battle exists to put numbers on packs that nobody has measured. Answering carelessly or deliberately skewing a pack's score damages the data for everyone, and we may discard answers or suspend accounts that do it.

We never ask which ramen is better — only which is spicier, sourer or chewier. If a question does not apply to the packs you are shown, use "Not sure" rather than guessing.

• Do not scrape the catalogue in bulk or hammer the site with automated requests.
• Do not try to reach other members' private shelves, or any part of the admin area.
• Do not copy the catalogue wholesale to republish it elsewhere.

Linking to individual pages is welcome and needs no permission.

Product pages link out to retailers so you can check a price or buy. We are not a party to anything that happens on their site, and their terms govern your purchase.

We earn nothing from those links today. If we ever join an affiliate programme, we will disclose it clearly on the pages that carry the links, as the FTC requires, before the first paid link goes live.

Product names, brand names and packaging images belong to their owners. They appear here to identify the products being catalogued. No endorsement by any manufacturer or retailer is implied.

If you own a trademark or an image and want it removed, email mk@noodleindex.com and we will act on it.

The site is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on the information here — including money spent on a price that had changed, or a reaction to an ingredient that the package listed and we did not.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update.

Myko Soft Inc is based in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The law governing these terms will be named here once the company's registration is complete — we would rather leave that gap visible than print something that turns out to be wrong.
