About this ramen

Squid Champong is modeled on jjamppong, the fiery seafood noodle soup served in Korean-Chinese restaurants. Pieces of dried squid rehydrate in the pot, joined by cabbage, carrot, mushroom and seaweed. The broth draws on a long list of seafood — squid, clam, mussel, octopus, shrimp and anchovy — along with pollock fish paste. Red chili pepper gives it the color and heat the dish is known for. With fish, shrimp and sesame among its allergens, it's one to skip if you avoid seafood.
